<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide apparatus and a method for diagnosing finish rolling abnormality in hot finish rolling which diagnose plate-thickness quality abnormality on the basis of mathematical models expressing control and physical phenomenon and operation experiences. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes an SCC setting part for setting a target value, a measured data collecting part for collecting the measured data, an exit side plate thickness meter loading-on judging part initiating the diagnosis, an evaluation part judging part for partitioning the head section, the tailend section and the central section using the plate thickness data, an on-gauge percentage calculating part for calculating the on-gauge percentage in each sector of the head section, the tailend section and the central section, a primary abnormality judging part for judging the abnormality in each sector of the head section, the tailend section and the central section using the output value of the measured data collecting part and the on-gauge percentage calculating part, a secondary abnormality judging part judging the presence or absence of intervention by operators, or abnormality in raw material, equipment, or control, and a reliability judging part determining reliability of the judged value given by the secondary abnormality judging part using the target value established by the SCC setting part and actual measurements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
