PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera with a device of protecting privacy. SOLUTION: The digital camera is provided with an encrypting key preparing portion for preparing an encoding key based on unique information owned by its own, an encrypting processing portion for image data obtained by photographing with the encrypting key, a media loading portion for freely loading or taking out recording media in which the image data are recorded, an image recording portion for recording the image data encrypting in the recording media loaded in the media loading portion, a decrypting processing portion for decrypting the image data encrypting with the encrypting key, and an image display portion.
