<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition for dark hair having reduced stimulation to the eye, imparting an improved gloss and having retention of color to UV and protecting performance. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the cosmetic composition comprising: (1) 0,001-10% of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) extract, (2) 0,001-10% of henna (Lawsonia inermis L.) extract and (3) 0,000005-5% of melanin. Combination of the above naturally-occurring components is suitable for preparing finished cosmetic compositions in association with an acceptable cosmetic base. The compositions are particularly useful for dark hair and exhibit sun protection against UV radiation, protection of hair fiber chemical structure, protection and retention of hair color and appropriate gloss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
