<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the good appearance of an indoor unit of an air conditioner while suppressing production cost. <P>SOLUTION: The indoor unit 2 of the air conditioner comprises a lower casing 70 and an upper casing 6. The lower casing 70 comprises portions coming into view as the side face lower part and a front face lower part in a side view and a front view. The upper casing 6 is formed separately from the lower casing 70, and covers the side face upper part, front face upper part, and a top face.
