<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety by preventing car speed from being kept in a variable state even when a gradient is changed in controlling the driving force to achieve a target acceleration, and preventing the sudden acceleration under bad weather. <P>SOLUTION: Whether the acceleration with a target acceleration tACC1 of tACC1≥0 or the deceleration of tCCC1 < 0 is checked in S41. In case of the acceleration, whether the target acceleration tACC1 is over an acceleration upper limit value Almt reduced in accordance with the increase of the rainfall estimation value, or not is checked in S42, so that the limited target acceleration tACC2 is set to a value same as the target acceleration tACC1 in S43 when tACC1 is not over Almt, and the limited target acceleration tACC2 is limited to an acceleration limit value Almt in S44, when tACC1 is over Almt. When the deceleration of tACC1 < 0 is determined in S41, the limited target acceleration tACC2 is set to the value same as the target acceleration tACC1 in S45. Whereby a vehicle is not accelerated over Almt even when the accelerator is operated for sudden acceleration under the lowering by bad weather, and the impairing of the fuel saving caused by the slipping of wheels, and the instability in behavior of the vehicle under bad weather can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
