SOLUTION: This recommended operation quantity generation device for vehicle comprises a circumferential vehicle detection means 6; an own vehicle state detection means 7; a lane detection means 6, a circumferential vehicle behavior prediction means 3b; an evaluation function constitution means 3c for constituting an evaluation function for calculating the desirableness of operation of the own vehicle; and a recommended operation quantity arithmetic means 3d for calculating a recommended operation quantity consisting of the time series signal of a desirable acceleration/deceleration for the own vehicle and the time series signal of a lane change trigger signal showing a desirable traveling lane for the own vehicle and the timing of the lane change. The recommended operation quantity arithmetic means 3d determines the necessity of lane change for every adjacent lane when the own vehicle is traveling in a multi-lane road consisting of three or more lanes, and calculates, in the calculation of the lane change trigger signal for instructing a lane change, the lane change trigger signal for instructing another lane change only when the completion of the operation of an instructed lane change is determined.
