PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new benzoylpyridine derivative or its salt, and a bactericide containing the same. SOLUTION: This bactericide contains a group of compounds consisting of so called rain resistant specific 3-benzoyl-2, 4, 5-substituted pyridine derivative or its salt capable of exhibiting an excellent effect even if crops get rain after spraying the chemical. By the bactericide, it becomes possible to protect the crops from pests at a lower cost and with less labor, since there is no need to increase the number of uses, the amount of the chemical or the like by considering the rain after the spraying of the chemical.
