PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recorder capable of recording data while keeping the reproducibility of data satisfactory even when the recording of the data in a main recording medium is interrupted for a long time due to vibration, impact or the like. SOLUTION: The data recorder is provided with a memory 7, a hard disk 10 as one example of the recording medium which records the data read out from the memory 7 and a semiconductor memory card 21 as one example of a storage means. In a memory input/output control circuit 6, writing/readout by the memory 7 is controlled in response to detection results of a memory remaining quantity detection circuit 8 and a vibration detection circuit 11 and in a semiconductor memory card input/output control circuit 20 as one example of a storage means input/output control circuit, writing/readout of the semiconductor memory card 21 is controlled according to the control in the memory input/output control circuit 6 in accordance with a detection result of the remaining quantity detection circuit 8.
