PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external signal actuated apparatus which controls an actuator having a plurality of functions by external signals and allows respective functions to be effectively exhibited. SOLUTION: The external signal actuated apparatus comprises one actuator 1 having a plurality of different functions, a controller 6 for controlling the actuator, an operation setter 7 for operating the actuator, and a telephone set 12 connected to the controller 6 or the operation setter 7 through an interface unit 11 by a signal line 13 and operates the actuator 1 by an external signal of a mobile phone 14 or a PHS from where a user had gone, and the operation setter 7 is provided with a selection means for selecting functions of the actuator 1 operated by the external signal, and a function can be utilized by the external signal by preliminarily selecting the function for use by the selection means, and thus the external signal actuated apparatus is very convenient for use and can be safely used.
