PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the discontinuity of luminance at a switching point of addition readout and non-addition readout when motion pictures are read out by multiple pixels CCD for the addition readout to combine the addition readout/non-addition readout and an electronic zoom. SOLUTION: Digitization is performed by an A/D converter via a GCA from the multiple pixels CCD to pass through a signal processing circuit to perform magnification/shrinkage processes in an electronic zoom circuit.
