PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a resin composition which is used mainly for optical articles, has a low refractive index, is excellent in transparency, and can be rapidly cured by irradiation with actinic radiations, such as ultraviolet rays, to give a cured material having a low refractive index and excellent in transparency, adherence to glass, and solvent resistance. SOLUTION: The resin composition having a low refractive index is prepared by synthesizing a urethane (meth)acrylate having fluorine atoms, blending it with a silane coupling agent, and if necessary, blending the mixture with a (meth)acrylate monomer having no aromatic group in the molecule, and a photopolymerization initiator.
