PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coolant spray device which is flat and compact in structure, and prevents the leakage of a coolant and the intrusion of chips. SOLUTION: The coolant spray device 100 or 200 having a plurality of nozzle pipes N arranged around a main shaft S has flat case comprising an annular body 1, and a shutter plate 5 is arranged on the annular body at a location outside through slots 1D allowing the respective nozzle pipes N to be inserted therein. Further the annular body 1 has a ring body and a nozzle supporting annular body 3 incorporated therein. The ring body functions to drive the nozzle pipes N. The nozzle supporting annular body 3 supports a sphere N2 arranged at the base end N1 of each nozzle pipe N by the concave spherical surface 3B thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
