MAGNESIUM ALLOY SHEET EXCELLENT IN ANTICORROSION PROPERTY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy sheet which has excellent workability such as cold working and also anticorrosion property and a manufacturing method for the same. SOLUTION: (1) This sheet is a magnesium alloy sheet the surface of which is coated with a barium and/or a calcium thin film and which has the excellent anticorrosion. (2) The magnesium alloy sheet mentioned in (1) has the barium and/or the calcium thin film whose thickness is 0.5-15μm thick. (3) The magnesium alloy sheet mentioned in (1) and (2) is obtained by rolling the magnesium alloy sheet. (4) The magnesium alloy sheet mentioned in (3) has the elongation percentage in rolling of 5-500 times. (5) This method is the manufacturing method of the magnesium alloy sheet mentioned in (1) to (4) by which the barium and/or the calcium thin film is formed on the surface of the magnesium alloy sheet by performing electrolytic plating in the dispersed solution of barium salt and/or calcium salt.
