PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form the so-called spiny shape having an excellent shape on an outer peripheral wall of a cylinder sleeve. SOLUTION: When water is supplied to a tank 12 via a water supplying line WL as a solvent for a base material LB, the hardness of the water is measured by a hardness meter 19 in the water supplying line WL. The base material LB prepared in the tank 12 by distributing heat insulating material, mold release agent, and binding agent into the water is fed passing through a liquid feeding pipe 24 by pumping it up from the tank 12 by means of a Mohno pump 20. In the course of this, the facing material is prepared by supplying anionic surfactant SA from a tank 28 with a cylinder connected to the liquid feeding pipe 24 via a joint 26 and a connecting pipe 40 and by mixing the anionic surface active agent SA with the base material LB. When the facing material is applied on an inner peripheral wall of a cylindrical metallic mold 14, the rotational speed of the cylindrical metallic mold 14 is adjusted according to the hardness of the water.
