PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of contamination due to a chemical substance and a cleaning system therefor capable of efficiently cleaning a contaminated region of a relatively small scale at a low cost by using a simple method. SOLUTION: In the cleaning method of contamination due to the chemical substance and the cleaning system therefor, the region containing ground water contaminated by the chemical substance is cleaned by using an oxidizing agent. The oxidizing agent is injected into a well disposed on the contaminated region, the oxidizing agent is diffused from the well to the contaminated region and is reacted with a pollutant. After the elapse of a specified period determined beforehand, the ground water containing the oxidizing agent is pumped up from the same well. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
