The device (1) has a forming tool provided by a coil carrier (3) and at least 2 partial spiral coils (4), coupled to an impulse current generator, for providing corresponding magnetic fields which are superimposed to provide an overall magnetic field acting on the workpiece. The partial spiral coils have an identical inductance, electrical resistance, winding number and shape, each extending from an inner start point (7) and an outer end point (8), with equal spacings between the adjacent spiral coils. An Independent claim for a method for workpiece forming using electromagnetic high energy pulses is also included. |
