<p>A method of manufacturing a solid gather forming member having a base wall part and first and second extension parts extended from the base wall part to both sides, comprising the steps of disposing an elastic member, in extended state, on the inner surface of the base surface part of a band-shaped sheet while transferring the sheet, forming the first extension part on both sides of the base surface part by drawing one of both side face parts of the sheet extending along the longitudinal direction thereof so as to cover a part of the base surface part in the lateral direction, and forming the second extension part and the base wall part by bending the other of the side face parts inward along the longitudinal direction so as to cover the portion of the base surface part not covered by one of the side face parts and to be overlapped on the drawn one of the side face parts.</p> |
