A method for making aqueous dispersions of rubber (A) by polymerisation of base monomers (a) followed by agglomeration of primary particles (PT) to agglomerated particles (AT), in which the dispersion is treated, before, during or after agglomeration, with a dispersion (B) containing a non-agglomerated polymer with an average particle size smaller than that of PT or AT. Independent claims are also included for (1) graft copolymers (D) containing 30-95 wt% (A) and 5-70 wt% grafted polymer (2) thermoplastic moulding materials containing (D) (3) dispersions containing (A) or (D) .
