SERVER FOR ROUTING CONNECTION TO CLIENT DEVICE

There is provided an Internet connection system which enables bi-directional communication between a home network and the Internet by comparatively easy means and in which a manufacturer of home electric appliances of the client side can find an original added value. The Internet connection system includ es a client device, a relay device, and a server connected to the Internet and to the client device via the relay device and the Internet. A method for connecting the client device to the server executed in the Internet connecti on system includes step (a) for notifying the IP address of the server to the relay device, step (b) for the relay device to establish a TCP/IP session by tunneling connection between the relay device and the server by using the IP address assigned as has been described above, and step (c) for the relay device to route the communication via the TCP/IP session from the server to the client device.
