PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to prepare a playlist by collecting needed video sections among optional video contents viewable via a network and selectively view only the needed video sections by using the prepared playlist.

SOLUTION: A video viewing terminal generates/edits a playlist being a list obtained by selecting one or more video sections among a plurality of video sections and registers the playlist in a video distributing device. The video distributing device holds the playlist and transmits information on video contents/video section/playlist which coincides with a retrieval request from a video viewing terminal device. The video viewing terminal device transmits the video viewing request to the video distributing device, and the video distributing device transmits contents description of video contents to the video viewing terminal device.
