<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model animal useful for clarifying the onset of atopic dermatitis and a method for treating the same, by reflecting clinical symptoms thereof, and to provide a method for screening a remedy for the atopic dermatitis, by using the animal. <P>SOLUTION: This atopic dermatitis model animal is given by transducing a GATA-3 gene or its variant gene into an animal and highly expressing the GATA-3 in T cells or B cells. The method for screening the remedy for the atopic dermatitis comprises applying the remedy to the atopic dermatitis model animal. Organs, tissues, cells or cell strains are isolated from the atopic dermatitis model animal. A method for producing the atopic dermatitis model animal comprises transferring the T cells, the B cells or their cell strains derived from the atopic dermatitis model animal to another animal of the same species or a similar species. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
