PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image distortion correcting apparatus for enhancing an intermediate pin distortion correcting efficiency. SOLUTION: Magnets 2, 3 are placed at the both sides of a core 4, and the magnets 2, 3 are placed in the same direction so that the S pole of the magnet 2 and the N pole of the magnet 3 are in contact with the core 4 respectively. Horizontal correction coils L1, L2 are wound on the core 4 at the same time. The number of turns of the two horizontal correction coils L1, L2 is set to be the same. The horizontal correction coils L1, L2 after the winding are connected in series to produce magnetic fields in opposite directions to each other. The image distortion correcting apparatus is provided with a bobbin 5 for covering the outer circumference of the core 4 and the magnets 2, 3 in the winding direction of the horizontal correction coils L1, L2 and vertical correction coils L3 (L3a, L3b) and L4 (L4a, L4b) are overlappingly wound on the horizontal correction coils L1, L2 via the bobbin 5.
