PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser scanning apparatus in which a laser beam emitting from a laser light source is reflected on a reflecting face of a rotating polygonal mirror driven and rotated by a driving motor and the reflected laser beam is made to transmit through a scanning lens to expose a photoreceptor, and to prevent deterioration in the optical characteristics of the scanning lens due to local temperature difference in the lens caused by transfer of the heat generating in the driving motor or the rotating polygonal mirror. SOLUTION: A heat conducting member 10 is disposed between an optical base 6 and the scanning lens 8 disposed on projections 6A, 6B, 6C of the optical base 6 so that the heat is transferred through the projections 6A, 6B, 6C and the heat conducting member 10 to the scanning lens 8 to uniformly increase the temperature of the scanning lens 8 as a whole.
