PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of effectively reducing the noise of the tire generated in particular from a tread shoulder part without impairing the wet dewatering performance. SOLUTION: Two or more circumferential grooves 2, 3 are formed on a tread face 1 across a tire equator line C, lateral grooves 6 respectively opened to a tread end and terminated without reaching the circumferential groove 3 are formed on a shoulder land part row defined at an outer side in the tread width direction with respect to the circumferential grooves 3 respectively positioned farthermost from the tire equator line C, a distance 21 in the tread width direction between a terminal end 7 of the lateral groove 6 and the circumferential groove 3 is determined to be 5% or more and 10% or less of the width w2 on a tread development of the shoulder land part row 5, and the terminal end 7 of the lateral groove 6 and the circumferential groove 3 are connected by a sipe 8.
