PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmitting belt capable of reducing a sound pressure level of a sound generated by the belt and through vibration of a pulley coming in contact with the back face of the belt. SOLUTION: The power transmitting belt has back face canvas 5 on the back face. An arrangement angle of warps 10 of the back face canvas 5 to the belt width direction differs from that of wefts 11 of the back face canvas 5.
