PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate a hydrophobic solvent from a mixture of three components of water, a hydrophilic solvent and the hydrophobic solvent, which is generated in a washing process. SOLUTION: The hydrophobic solvent is separated from water to collect the hydrophobic solvent from the mixture comprising water, the hydrophilic solvent and the hydrophobic solvent, which is generated in the washing process, by specific gravity difference using water containing inorganic ion component of 10<SP>-4</SP>mol/litter or more.
