PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body inside observation system displaying a white-balanced image without providing a color adjusting circuit in an imaging unit side. SOLUTION: After taking the image of a white reflecting plate 16, the imaging unit 3 is gulped and takes images of the body inside, and an external image observation device 4 wirelessly receives and stores the images taken by the imaging unit 3. When displaying them, image data stored in an image display device 52 are read, a white determination means 54 determines the image data of the white reflecting plate 16 taken first. The color balance of color signals R, G and B of the image data is detected, a gain of an amplifier part 57 for the white balance is adjusted and the signal levels of R, G and B are adjusted to become equal, so that the while-balanced image can be displayed without providing a color adjustment circuit in the side of the imaging unit 3.
