A reinforcing tape (2, 20a, 20b) for a slide fastener (10) is disclosed. The reinforcing tape (2, 20a, 20b) to be bonded to the end portion of a fastener tape (1, 11a, 11b) comprises a reinforcing layer (4) formed of a polyester elastomer film manifesting a modulus of elasticity in bending in the range of 3,000 to 5,000 kg/cm<2> and an adhesive layer (3).
