PURPOSE: A tape transfer apparatus is provided to transfer stably a tape at high speed without damage by improving the structure. CONSTITUTION: An upper and lower clampers(39,40) are used for clamping a tape(1). Clamper switching parts(30A,30B) are used for switching the upper and lower clampers. Slide parts(20A,20B) capable of moving to and fro in a tape transfer direction are used for mounting the clamper switching parts. The clamper switching parts and the slide parts are arranged in position, so that the upper and lower clampers are capable of clamping both edge portions of the tape. A clamper moving part(45) moves one clamper switching part to and from in the tape transfer direction. An interlocking part(60,61) moves the other clamper switching part corresponding to the motion of one clamper switching part.
