<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus in which an operation to select a consumable part needing exchange among a plurality of similarly shaped consumables such as a photoreceptor drum or toner and to exchange it, is easily instructed to a user without increasing the number of parts, in the color image forming apparatus provided with a plurality of developing means. <P>SOLUTION: An exposure lamp (for example, a cleaner pre-exposure lamp) and a light guide which are provided to the CRG to be exchanged among a plurality of CRGs and a display panel supporting the exchange operation of the CRG are provided in the image forming apparatus. When the CGR is made exchangeable during display of the instruction of the CRG exchange operation on the display panel, the exposure lamp which is in the vicinity of the CGR needing exchange is lit and made to blink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
