CHARGE COLLECTING SYSTEM, ON-VEHICLE DEVICE, COMPUTER AND CHARGE COLLECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a charge discount system corresponding to the number of persons on a vehicle using a toll road by accurately counting the number of persons on a vehicle.

SOLUTION: This ETC system is provided with: an on-vehicle unit 6 mounted on a vehicle using a toll road for performing radio communication for collecting use charge; a fingerprint collating device 1 connected to the on-vehicle unit 6; and road side equipment 3 for executing ETC processing by acquiring on-vehicle unit information through radio communication with the on-vehicle unit 6. This fingerprint collating device 1 is provided with: a fingerprint reading part 11 for reading the fingerprint of a person on a vehicle; and a control part 15 for comparing the fingerprint data read by the fingerprint reading part 11 to decide whether those fingerprints are belonging to different persons, and when deciding that the fingerprint data are belonging to different persons, counting the fingerprint data as the information on the number of person in a memory 13, and transferring the information on the counted number of persons in the memory 13 to the on-vehicle unit 6 and storing the information into the unit 6.
