PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of displaying an OSD image in a color according to a user's preference. SOLUTION: An OSD image memory 5 stores an OSD image whose color is a reference color. A color setting section 7 stores revision setting data as to the luminance, the transparency, and the saturation of the OSD image set by the user. An STB 1 revises the color of the OSD image stored in the OSD image memory 5 on the basis of the revision setting data as to the luminance, the transparency, and the saturation of the OSD image stored in the color setting section 7, generates a composite video image resulting from superimposing the OSD image whose color is revised onto a program image and an output section 8 outputs the composite image. Thus, the user can revise the luminance, the transparency, and the saturation of the OSD image in a way of being according to the user's preference. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
