PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus for applying a coating solution to a web during carrying and a coating method for applying the coating solution to the web during the carrying by a coating head attached to a stand, and to prevent the solid of the scattered or leaked coating solution from remaining. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus is equipped with the coating head 10, the stand 20 having an attaching surface 20a to which the coating head 10 is attached and a flowing means 40 for allowing a liquid to continuously flow to the attaching surface 20a.
