PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher and a detergent supply method thereof in which dishes are washed with washing water in a proper detergent concentration. SOLUTION: In the dishwasher, a detergent supply quantity is calculated based upon a rinsing water supply quantity corresponding to a supply time of rinsing water, such that the concentration of a detergent in the washing water within a washing water tank becomes a predetermined value S, and a detergent as much as the detergent supply quantity (S208, S214, S218) is supplied into the washing water tank (S210). Therefore, even when a rinsing time is changed to change a rinsing water supply quantity into a washing chamber and an inflow quantity of rinsing water into the washing water tank is changed therewith, the washing water in the washing water tank is kept at the predetermined value S which is the proper detergent concentration. Accordingly, the dishes are washed with the washing water in the proper detergent concentration all the time regardlessly of the change in the rinsing time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
