PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a growth base material for spray effective for budding growth of a subshrub effective for natural environmental conservation and spray greening method using the same growth base material chiefly composed of raw chip and coal ash, which enables mortar shotcrete execution and is high in versatility. SOLUTION: Coal ash clinker is mixed with raw chips. The growth base material for spray is undersize of 1-5 cm screen. It is preferable that 10-60 volume % of raw chip and 40-90 volume % of coal ash clinker are mixed together by mixing fertilizer and antierosion material together to adjust the growth base material, while including seeds or not including seeds.
