An aircraft or vehicle seat swingable upwardly against a wall has a base 5 hinged to the floor by a hinged leg construction 49, a reclinable back 6 foldable down thereon and a further hinged leg construction 50 which remains vertical as the seat is swung upwardly and carries an extension 79 releasably securable to the wall. The leg construction 50 carries a horizontal bumper strut 72 on the legs to prevent damage to the seat in folded position and the legs have studs which can be engaged with keyhole slots in the floor. The extension 79 carries a lug 80 with a hole 87 which is engaged when the seat is erect by a spring-urged plunger 114, mounted on the seat frame, to lock the leg construction 50 in its erect position. |
