The invention relates to an axial water turbine comprising: a rotor that has a hub and blades; a stator that also has blades, and; a housing that encloses the rotor and the stator. Said rotor is connected to a turbine shaft in a rotationally fixed manner. The inventive axial water turbine is characterized by the following feature. A sealing unit is provided for closing the gap or for reducing the width of the gap between the peripheral edge of at least some of the blades and the housing. |
