<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive visual line detection system whose use environment is not limited. <P>SOLUTION: This visual line detection system comprises a photographing part for (1) photographing a color image of a part of an eye centering the pupil, an image processing part for (2) decomposing the acquired image into three parameters of saturation, intensity and hue for digitization, (3) filtering the acquired numerical values so that they fall within a certain range and (4) returning the acquired values to the image of the pupil comprising one hue, and a visual line estimating part for (5) determining the center of the pupil and estimating the orientation of the visual line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
