PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a developing apparatus effectively suppressing the occurrence of density unevenness on an image, a developer carrier, an image forming apparatus, and a computer system. SOLUTION: The developing apparatus has a developer carrier for holding a developer thereon, and develops a latent image held on the image carrier with the developer held on the developer carrier in such a manner that the developer carrier and the image carrier are not in contact with each other. In the developing apparatus, an amount of sway of a longitudinal end of the developer carrier is smaller than an amount of sway of the longitudinal middle part of the developer carrier.
