PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal to which a posture judging function is added at a low cost while suppressing the increase of the number of components by utilizing an opening / closing detection circuit which is an existing circuit. SOLUTION: The portable terminal is provided with a magnet 103 and magnetic sensors 105 and 106 for detecting the opening / closing of a portable telephone upper case body 101 and a portable telephone lower case body 102 and the magnet 103 is movable corresponding to the posture of the portable telephone. For such constitution, the plurality of magnetic sensors 105 and 106 are arranged according to this invention and a control part judges the posture of a device from all sensor output.
