PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of errors in data even if the length of a transmission path is changed. SOLUTION: An equalizer circuit 11 is provided with a resistor value control unit 13 for controlling the resistor value of a variable resistor 22 of a filter unit 12. A resistor value control unit 13 is provided with a comparator, a counter circuit and a resistor value adjusting circuit. The comparator compares the peak value of a reception signal to be supplied from an input terminal Pin with the output voltage of the resistor value adjusting circuit, and the counter circuit sets a count value according to the result of the comparison. The counter circuit sets the output voltage outputted from the resister value adjusting circuit on the basis of the count value. When the peak value of the reception signal becomes almost equal to the output voltage of the resistor value adjusting circuit, the unit 13 adjusts the resistor value of the variable resistor 22 of the filter unit 12 on the basis of the count value set by the counter circuit.
