PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a storage system for restoring transmission data even when a package is lost when transmitting/receiving data between storage devices based on an iSCSI protocol adopting an FEC system. SOLUTION: This system interposed between a network side port and a storage device side port for transmitting/receiving packet data is provided with a transmission management table for registering and managing FEC redundancy corresponding to the transmission destination, a reception management table for registering and managing FEC redundancy corresponding to the reception destination, an encode part for FEC encoding the packet iSCSI layer data generated by the storage device with the redundancy corresponding to the transmission destination by referring to the transmission management table and a decode part for FEC decoding the packet data received from a network by referring to the reception management table, and for decoding the data into the iSCSI layer data.
