PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road environment information reporting apparatus that is inexpensive to construct for providing useful road environment information to drivers in real time and earlier than the drivers visually perceive it, while enhancing the reliability of information on the results of image recognition. SOLUTION: An image recognition means 102 extracts an object to be recognized from image information picked up by an image pickup means 101. An image recognition result information creating means 104 creates image recognition result information based on information on the results of image recognition and the absolute position of one's own vehicle as measured from a vehicle position measuring means 103. A road environment reproduction data integrating and creating means 108 integrates the history information of image recognition result information stored by an image recognition result information storage means 107 with road environment reproduction data one hour ago, to create the newest road environment reproduction data. An information reporting means 113 reports to the drivers the information included in the road environment reproduction data received by a road environment reproduction data receiving means 111.
