摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas heat recovery device for an engine capable of actively promoting heat generation by a catalyst converter for combusting exhaust gas by catalyst reaction when exhaust gas heat of the engine is not sufficiently obtained to increase exhaust gas heat amount. SOLUTION: This exhaust gas heat recovery device for the engine is provided with an air conditioner 20 having a heat exchanger 21 for heating in which heat exchange is performed between a heat transfer medium passing through the engine 2 and air conditioned air to generate heating air, the catalyst converter 30 in which combustion component in exhaust gas is combusted by catalyst reaction by letting exhaust gas pass through the engine 2, an exhaust gas heat exchanger 40 for performing heat exchange between the exhaust gas passing through the catalyst converter 30 and the heat transfer medium, and an engine control means 50 for increasing and controlling combustion component in exhaust gas combusted by the catalyst converter 30 when heating conditions required for heating are not satisfied. Consequently, combustion in the catalyst converter 30 is promoted to increase exhaust gas heat amount in order to increase temperature of the heat transfer medium efficiently through the exhaust gas heat exchanger 40.
