PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printing method, without spreading the ink, excellent in clearness and fastness and giving a highly concentrated recorded material on both of a surface and a rear surface of a cloth, and an ink jet printing apparatus. SOLUTION: This ink jet printing method comprises 4 processes of (a) a process of imparting a first ink, (b) a process of imparting a treating liquid having a function of coagulating a coloring material in the ink on it, (c) a process of imparting a second ink having the same color with the first ink on it and (d) fixing and washing process of the cloth imparted with the inks, and executes them in the above order.
