PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wire brush of an endoscope washing apparatus from twining around a drive roller for advancing the wire brush when the wire brush advances too much. SOLUTION: This endoscope washing apparatus 51 has the wire brush 31, a wire brush storage part 56, the roller 72 and a wire position detecting means 67. The wire brush 31 is provided with an acting part 66 on the position detecting means 67, at the rear end of a wire. The acting part 66 is formed in substantially circular shape whose cross sectional shape in an orthogonal direction to the wire is larger in diameter than the wire. A stopper part 93 larger than the diameter of the wire and smaller than the diameter of the acting part 66 to allow the passage of the wire and to impede the passage of the acting part 66 is formed at a part toward an intermediate part 56c side from the roller 72 at the front end part 56a of the storage part 56.
