754,703. Fluid-flow direction indicators; chrometers. KELVIN & HUGHES, Ltd. Dec. 29, 1954 [Jan. 5, 1954], No. 259/54. Class 97 (2). [Also in Group XXIX] A fluid-current indicator comprises a perforated hollow body 10 having a larger open end and a smaller closed end with external eyes 12 for attachment of a rope so that the body can be secured and take up an angular position dependent on the current, the perforations steadying the body. The recording unit 40 for recording strength and direction of the current is identical with that described in Specification 737,816. In an alternative form the indicator is a Robert's current indicator with propeller-operated electrical devices and the perforated hollow body is in the form of a cone frustum secured at its narrower end to the indicator. |
