<p>A brake mechanism (110) for a hoist, comprising a plurality of braking members (20) disposed so as to be opposed to the inside wall of the cup-like part (12) of a brake drum (2) opened to one surface side thereof, elastic members (30) connected to the plurality of braking members (20) and disposed to act elastic forces in the radial directions from the center of the cup-like part (12) so as to press the braking members (20) against the inside wall of the cup-like part, a support member (8) fixing the portions of the elastic members (30) on the opposite sides of the portions thereof connected to the braking members (20), and control mechanisms (42, 50) controlling the elastic forces by developing resistance forces opposite to the elastic forces.</p> |
