ELASTIC CONTAINER COVER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING

An ovate-shaped container cover (10) includes one layer (22) of cover material that substantially covers a container (12), while a second layer (32) of cover material adapted with an elastic border for gripping the walls of a container (12) is substantially adjacent to the walls of the container (12). The container cover (10), when placed atop a container (12), is capable of forming a dome. Further disclosed is an automated method for manufacturing container covers (10) of the ovate design described above.
