A mechanical catch (R) notches into two piston (2) lift positions to fix this (2) against its loadspring. The hydraulic adjusting force can be set depending on the piston face area to exceed the force of the catch (R). An adjuster valve (3,4) is fitted with a proportionating magnet (7). The first notching position imposed by the spring (F) is central between the other two notch positions of the piston. The notch (R) has resiliently loaded movable element (G) with notching recesses (N1,N2) for the catch (R), element (G) and recess (N) to move relatively each time the piston adjusts.
